Distilled in June of 2007 and bottled in September of 2020, this single malt release from Hazelburn was matured exclusively in fresh Oloroso Sherry casks and bottled at cask strength. 9,900 bottles make up the release, which was bottled without coloring or filtering.
Wowzers - a great home run for Hazelburn, Springbank's sister label. I've never had a Hazelburn I didn't like, but this far exceeds the performance of each that I've tasted before. Lovely composure of ash, jammy dessert and delicious malt.

House Review
Nose:
Jammy and ashy on the nose - blueberry, blackberry, cedar and toffee.
Taste:
Medium mouthfeel, chewy texture and loads of toffee. Light ash and smoke, big cocoa and creme brulee, honey with plum and cherry and currant.
Finish:
Long powerful finish that is perfectly balanced.
