Asombroso Reposado La Rosa tequila is made from 100% blue weber agave grown in Jalisco's Tequila Valley. The agave is cooked in an autoclave, extracted using a roller mill and fermented in open stainless steel tanks with champagne yeast. It is distilled twice in stainless steel stills and then aged for three months in French Bordeaux wine barrels. Bottled at 80 proof, La Rosa is the first Bordeaux wine barrel-rested tequila in the world, according to the brand.
On the palate the nice agave sweetness is present but most of the aromatics are not translated to flavor in the mouth. Just a bit of artificial fruit then it is sweet and finishes hot and dry.
