Nicely balanced nose. Oloroso comes through with earthy notes, but there are bright sweet dried fruit notes as well from the other finishes. Butterscotch, orange sherbet.
Moderate mouthfeel. Lovely palate of oak, sharp tobacco, milk chocolate, walnut, butter, candied orange and spiced dried fruits. Cloves, cinnamon, raisins, figs.
Long finish that paints sort of a wet pine forest vibe. Cognac comes through here more than it did on the palate, joined by cocoa, almond and tobacco.
A very nice expression. The finishes work great in harmony.
