  • Lots of vanilla comes through, but nicely balanced with subtle spice and a bit of a marmalade tang. Very smooth and not too sweet.

  • The somewhat oily palate features quite lively spices, raisins, hazelnuts, and oak. The finish is medium in length and spicy to the end, with cocoa powder.

  • The oak and cereal malt notes hang around for a lingering finish. One heck of a good time at a reasonable price.

  • This is a good, no nonsense dram. It's easy sipping, not terribly complex, and doesn't have any big flaws.

  • Nose:

Honey, lemon tart, fresh baked bread. Vanilla, faint caramel, some light pepper.

  • Taste:

Medium mouthfeel, no real heat. Sweet vanilla, light white pepper, bready and cake-y. Some lemon meringue, very desserty. Sherry influence is light. Lots of butter cream.

  • Finish:

Medium length, but sweet with some nice vanilla character. Not really complex.

  • Overall:

This is a good, no nonsense dram. It's easy sipping, not terribly complex, and doesn't have any big flaws.
