Distilled by Kilbeggan in Ireland, this Irish whiskey is imported and sold as a fairly approachable Irish whiskey, and it appears to be most selectively marketed for cocktails.
2 Gingers Irish Whiskey is a fairly standard Irish Whiskey that would work well for a St. Paddy’s celebration, but I don’t see myself ever drinking it outside of that.
The taste starts off light and thin, but a strong pepperiness kicks in with lemon and honey notes underneath, along with touches of malt in the background. The finish is light, long, and spicy.
For those looking for it-goes-down-easy shots or a fairly neutral base for a cocktail, 2 Gingers is tough to beat. For serious drinking (Irish or otherwise), it doesn’t have quite enough backbone for my tastes.
Honestly, not so bad. This comes as quite a shock, since it's extremely affordable and marketed primarily to bars, but a good surprise is always welcome here and there. I bet it makes a great substitute in a mule with those citrus and honey notes.

Nose:
Sweet, malty, a bit of citrus. Faint pepper, some sweet honey. Not super complex, but entirely approachable.
Taste:
Sweet on the palate. Honey, toffee, a bit of ginger, pepper, light salinity and rising bread.
Finish:
Medium finish. Sweet honey, some lemon zest, pepper, a hint of rising bread.
Overall:
Honestly, not so bad. This comes as quite a shock, since it's extremely affordable and marketed primarily to bars, but a good surprise is always welcome here and there. I bet it makes a great substitute in a mule with those citrus and honey notes.
