  • As a whiskey geek, this is super-interesting juice. I just wish I liked it more. Regardless, I’m curious to see where someone of Metze’s talent can take this, and how it will develop in the years ahead.

  • The finish is long with slowly fading spices and a touch of honey. Excellent!

  • As of this 2020 release, the dial might be tweaked a touch too far to the sweet side of things for some, but at this exact moment in my life, it’s really hitting the spot.

  • At 50% ABV, this Wheat Whiskey is as good or better than other contenders on the market, and for those who may be a bit salty they can't find a particular Buffalo Trace Wheater - I tell you this is superior. Get this instead.

  • Nose:

Sweet honey, toffee, creme brulee. A light bit of cinnamon, peach rings, a hint of cream. Lovely and sweet, with a tiny dash of oak.

  • Taste:

Moderate mouthfeel, no heat. Sweet cream, caramel corn, toffee and oak. There's a good bit of oak which helps offset the great sweetness that comes from the wheat.

  • Finish:

Long finish. A great complexity between the sweet caramel, cream, nutmeg notes and some bold oak, pepper and cocoa.

  • Overall:

At 50% ABV, this Wheat Whiskey is as good or better than other contenders on the market, and for those who may be a bit salty they can't find a particular Buffalo Trace Wheater - I tell you this is superior. Get this instead.
