Influencer superstars Kendall Jenner and Emma Chamberlain are bringing together their brands for a cocktail kit that’s sure to take Gen Z TikTok feeds by storm.

Jenner’s 818 Tequila is collaborating with Chamberlain Coffee on a reinterpretation of the viral espresso martini. Originally believed to have been invented in 1983, the traditionally vodka-centric recipe reemerged from annuls of history in 2021 to rabid fanfare. Now, we’re beginning to see the pitch-black cocktail reinterpreted in just about every way possible.

Highlighting tequila as its central ingredient, the pair’s new kit comes complete with the expected variety of merch: a co-branded cocktail shaker, martini glass, stickers and candied pecan cold brew singles.

“I’m so happy that 818 is collaborating with Chamberlain, Emma and I have been wanting our brands to do something fun together,” Jenner said in a news release. “We’re not only creating something delicious together — we’re settling the debate, once and for all, that espresso martinis taste best when they’re made with tequila.”

Chamberlain Coffee and 818 Tequila were launched in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

From Michael Jordan to Matthew McConaughey, much has been said about the celebrity-backed tequila craze that has taken hold of America over the past few years. Amidst the shuffle, it’s easy to overlook how many celebrity-backed coffees have launched in the same time frame. Since 2020, we’ve seen commercial coffee launches from The Weeknd, Milly Bobby Brown, Jimmy Butler, Tom Hanks and Machine Gun Kelly, just to name a few.

Chamberlain has carved out a large niche within the nascent category. After venturing into cold brew and matcha, Chamberlain Coffee reached a market valuation of $54 million less than two years after launch.

“Working with Kendall and 818 on this was such a blast. The whole thing came together naturally because we adore each other and adore espresso martinis with tequila,” Chamberlain said in the news release. “We played around and ended up creating a unique take on an espresso martini that we know people will love.”
