Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin Brand Invites You to ‘Marvel at the Ginematic Universe’ With ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Limited Edition Bottles

Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin brand released limited-edition bottles to honor the latest movie within the Deadpool franchise: “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
Aviation Gin announced on Friday that the brand is inviting fans to “marvel at the ginematic universe,” with the release of a series of six limited-edition bottles paying homage to “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the latest movie from the Disney-owned studio. The movie is set to release in July and stars Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Aviation Gin.
“The ‘Deadpool’ film franchise has been a cultural phenomenon since its inception,” Holly Frank, Walt Disney Studios’ VP, partnership management and operations, Marvel, said in a news release. “We’re so excited to be collaborating with Aviation American Gin to give fans a chance to engage with the world of Deadpool in a whole new way leading up to the eagerly anticipated theatrical release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.'”
The black, 750-milliliter glass bottles feature red accents that are meant to depict the fabric on Deadpool’s suit and were designed by Maximum Effort and Sandstorm Partners. Each bottle features one of six Deadpool icons and includes metallic detailing.
They are set to hit the shelves of retailers across the U.S. and in specific countries starting this summer, according to the news release.
“Our collaboration with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ to create this series of bottles is a first-of-its-kind promotion for Aviation American Gin with one of the most iconic characters in pop culture history,” Diageo Global & US Brand Director for Aviation American Gin Ricky Collett said. “The custom bottle embodies the irreverent spirit of both brands and showcases our commitment to pushing cultural boundaries and redefining the gin drinking experience.”
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is set to release July 26 and was directed by Shawn Levy. Levy is known for “Free Guy,” “Night at the Museum” and “Real Steel.” The film features Reynolds playing the part of the irreverent, mouthy antihero, Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
“I discovered Aviation American Gin while shooting the first Deadpool movie,” Reynolds said. “Back then Aviation wasn’t big enough to tie-in to a big summer movie and Deadpool was lucky to get any sponsors at all. A few hundred weeks and drinks later, here we are! They grow up so quickly, don’t they?”
