Quite sweet on the nose, but with a clear chocolate note that adds a bit more nuance to the vanilla bomb of the blanco. That cocoa character continues to the palate, which layers in some cinnamon notes to provide a Mexican chocolate feel, though again it feels heavily dosed with heaping spoonsful of brown sugar.
This reposado tequila is very sweet both on the nose and the palate, quite like raw chocolate chip cookie dough in this case. As a result, the tequila tastes manufactured and artificial. There's a slight bitterness and barrel spices on the finish which helps a little, but there's not much agaveness to enjoy here.
