Following a successful limited release in June, LeBron James’ Lobos 1707 Tequila is bringing back its coveted gold-and-blue Añejo.

Aged for 12-18 months in American white oak barrels before being finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry wine casks, the expression fits comfortably between the brand’s flagship Reposado (aged seven months) and Extra Añejo (aged three years). Driving up demand, the new Añejo drop will bring just 9,000 bottles to market at $99 a piece.

“Our team at Lobos 1707 is incredibly thankful for all of those who supported our debut of the newest member of the Lobos wolfpack, helping to elevate your day and night,” said Diego Osorio, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Lobos 1707 Tequila & Mezcal.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Lobos 1707 Limited Edition Añejo for those who have yet to experience this award-winning liquid for themselves.”

Available now at select retailers and restaurants throughout the US, the oaky expression is said to balance “multi-layered” flavors of walnut, caramel and vanilla.

Since launching in 2018, Lobos 1707 has racked up star-studded investors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maverick Carter and Anthony David. The brand’s core line — which includes a Blanco, Reposado, Extra Anejo and Mezcal — goes up against tough competition from the likes of George Clooney, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kendall Jenner and other highly-successful celebrity tequila entrepreneurs.
