  • Orange carries over to the palate, with spicy dark chocolate, ginger, and cocktail cherries. The finish features vanilla, long-lasting dark chocolate, and prunes.

  • Never underestimate Dalmore, just avoid about their hyper-hyperbolic marketing flannel. It is a great whisky.

  • It does not take long for the heavy sweetness to become a bit much, not dissimilar from eating too many pancakes in one sitting.

  • The finish is pleasant and of decent length. In short, for the price, it's a solid choice.

  • This is nothing like I expected and nothing like I really remember Dalmore spirit to be like.

  • Nose:

Mildly lactic, sweet raisin bread, sweet caramel and faint cocoa. There's some odd fruitiness, melons and faint banana.

  • Taste:

Thin and again, mildly lactic. faint brown sugar, tastes young, almost as if there is some new make spirit in the mix. Raisin bread notes are here again.

  • Finish:

Short and mildly funky. Lactic, sweet fruitiness, that young note dominates again.

  • Overall:

This is nothing like I expected and nothing like I really remember Dalmore spirit to be like. Interesting. I am really looking forward to trying more expressions again to formally review. That said, I just didn't love this one.
