  • Lovely and rich, powerful and smoky, this is wine-finished Ledaig at its finest.

  • Nose:

Punchy, ashy, acrid, powerful and loaded with sweet fruits and jam on the nose. Acrid may feel weird as a descriptor, but it fits with the Ledaig character here. Lovely nose.

  • Taste:

Sweet and honey-driven up front, and then lingonberry, cherry, blackberry and currant pop up. Some almond, honey, slate and tobacco.

  • Finish:

Long, ashy, pepper-driven finish loaded with syrupy plum, almond, toffee and sweet currant.

  • Overall:

Lovely and rich, powerful and smoky, this is wine-finished Ledaig at its finest.

  • Score:

    88
