Red Line Single Barrel Toasted Barrel Rye is a cask-strength rye whiskey distilled in Indiana. Aged for a minimum of 5-6 years in a barrel made from 18-month air-dried wood that is toasted, it has a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% barley malt. The whiskey is bottled at varying proofs.
The overall sip is very pleasing and drinks lower than its 116 proof would suggest. While the finish is surprisingly on the short side, this is an easy sipping rye that’s worth its price tag.
