The nose is fruity, with overripe baked apples dusted with cinnamon and pears, with an underlying sweetness of ice wine and powdered sugar. The palate is somewhat sharp and thin, with black pepper, cloves and allspice, as well as caramel candies and spearmint.
Although slightly cloying, this rye offers a smooth and delicate bite that has a moderate finish with pleasantly complex flavors that are well-balanced.
