The palate is more reminiscent of certain styles of baijus than Scotch whiskies, rather astringent, with more curaçao-like orange flavor coming through than the pineapple, followed by sweet vanilla and hint of florals.

It’s very sweet and well masked by the intense candylike qualities, but it does work to temper that sugar and tropical fruit, at least to a degree.
