On Tuesday, Blade and Bow announced a partnership with professional golfer and bourbon aficionado Wyndham Clark for a digital content series celebrating the heritage of both whiskey and golf.

As part of the collaboration, the brand and golfer intend to launch a sweepstakes later in 2024. The nationwide sweepstakes will allow one lucky winner to play a round of golf with Clark and enjoy a round of cocktails from Blade and Bow afterward.

“I’m excited to represent the parallel values of artistry and technique between golf culture and the craftsmanship of Blade and Bow’s premium bourbon,” Clark said in a news release.

Blade and Bow says it tapped the golfer it claims is “known for his power off the tee and his finesse around the greens” because the brand resonated with Clark’s dedication to the game. The Diageo-owned brand claimed Clark’s striving for perfection mimics the way the whiskey creation process works at Blade and Bow.

The brand uses the solera technique and was inspired by the heritage of the Stitzel-Weller distillery. Blade and Bow cites its purpose as to “welcome a new generation to the art of bourbon making” at the storied distillery.

“At Blade and Bow, we’re passionate about the legacy of enjoying a bourbon cocktail at the 19th hole,” Blade and Bow Brand Manager Meghan Redler said in the news release. “It’s more than just a drink; it’s a tradition, a moment of fellowship after the game, and a testament to the timeless connection between our whiskey and the golfing spirit. With this campaign and our new partners, we aim to elevate that experience even further.”

The Diageo-owned whiskey brand is additionally joining forces with RoboGolfPro, which is a robotic swing training system that allows golfers of all skill levels to practice their technique.

“Blade and Bow’s commitment to enhancing the golfing experience extends beyond the clubhouse, and we’re excited to collaborate with them to bring this training opportunity to both experienced and novice golfers,” RoboGolfPro founder and trainer Scot W.R. Nei said. “Together, we’ll provide a tangible tool to players of all skill levels, along with a delicious whiskey to refine their post-green experience during 19th hole celebrations.”

In other whiskey and golf-related news, Elijah Craig announced this week that it is celebrating the return of the PGA Championship to Kentucky after nearly a decade away from the state.

The PGA Championship begins May 13 and will take place at the Valhalla Golf Club.
