On Monday, Flying Ace Straight Bourbon announced plans to support family members of fallen or disabled American military or first responders.

The brand announced a partnership with the non-profit, Folds of Honor, intending to offer scholarships to children of military members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

“We are extremely appreciative for Flying Ace’s support of our shared mission and pleased to join with them in making a meaningful impact through education together,” Folds of Honor CEO and founder Lieutenant Col. Dan Rooney said in a news release. “The team at Flying Ace understands the importance of an education and is committed to assisting those who need and deserve our help.”

According to the news release, Folds of Honor has awarded over 52,000 scholarships since its inception in 2007.

Flying Ace said it will spread the word of this scholarship program at spirits retailers, through social platforms and will feature special packaging indicating the partnership.

Through a QR code, customers can learn more about the initiative with Folds of Honor. The brand additionally signed on to be the Liberty Sponsor at Folds of Honor’s Inaugural Gala in Detroit which took place on Saturday.

Flying Ace Straight Bourbon takes its homage from American pilots. The brand claims on its website that it makes small-batch American bourbon “in gratitude to the men and women who have selflessly served our nation as aviators.” Flying Ace has a bourbon whiskey, a caramel corn-flavored whiskey, a peach-flavored whiskey, a cinnamon-flavored whiskey and a black cherry-flavored whiskey.

“We are proud to contribute to this noble cause by sponsoring four scholarships in 2024,” Flying Ace National Sales Director Ali Anderson said. “This sponsorship reflects Flying Ace’s dedication to giving back to our community and to ensuring the families who have sacrificed so much for our country receive the educational opportunities they deserve.”
