  • Kilkerran doing what Kilkerran knows best: big industrial character and a wine finish. Good stuff.

  • Nose:

Cherry reduction, toffee, a bit of slake, ashy smoke, some acrid plastic and a big stewed fruit note.

  • Taste:

Tobacco, toffee, cherry cordials, blackberry and currant. There’s a prickle of ethanol, ashy smoke, faint plasticity and some oak.

  • Finish:

This is the Kilkerran I know and love. The finish is long, ashy and char-driven with big cherry cola and blackberry character, as well as vanilla bean, minerality and light diesel notes.

  • Overall:

Kilkerran doing what Kilkerran knows best: big industrial character and a wine finish. Good stuff.

  • Score:

    85
