There's an intrigue to the dram that keeps you returning back again to discern the aromas and flavors and before you know it, you're ready for a refill.
The taste is thick, chewy, and fruity at first, followed by a burst of peppery spice that lasts and lasts while subtle hints of dried fruits, honey, vanilla, and heather lurk in the background.
I think everyone will get something special from this whisky. It will be surprising if anyone can find it short of amazing as well, because it is truly an extraordinary example of craftsmanship and quality.
It’s a whisky that could use a bit of sweetness here and there, but otherwise it acquits itself quite well, making for one of my favorite Black Art releases to date.
