On Wednesday, Crown Royal announced the release of a 30-year-old blended Canadian whisky, the oldest expression from the brand. The producer is hosting a tasting and dining experience where guests will have the opportunity to experience the release firsthand with bespoke menu pairings.
“We are incredibly proud to introduce this exceptional 30-year-old whisky as the second evolution of our Extra Rare series,” stated Vice President of Crown Royal, Tatiana Conti in a news release from the brand. “In crafting this special release, we wanted every detail to reflect the specialness of this whisky — from the exceptional liquid to the meticulously designed bottle to the hints of gold and iridescent pearl-like sheen on the packaging. This is truly a unique blend of our oldest expression to date.”
The whisky hosts an ABV of 46% and a suggested retail price of $500 per 750-milliliter bottle.
The brand claims each whisky in the blend was distilled in Crown Royal’s Coffey still, which Crown Royal says is one of the few operating ones in North America.
Crown Royal describes the whisky as hosting aromas of orchard fruits and creamy vanilla.
Crown Royal 30-Year-Old Whisky is available for a limited time in Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and at Military bases starting Wednesday.
In late May, Crown Royal announced the release of Crown Royal Golden Apple Aged 23 years.
The brand tapped Solange Knowles and her creative agency, community and music collective, Saint Heron, to host a series of events in conjunction with the launch. The events were meant to showcase the ethos of creativity and innovation behind the heavily aged, apple-flavored whisky’s launch.
