On Monday, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky announced a cinnamon-flavored lipstick to celebrate football season and the new relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The brand claimed that this year red is the official color of football season largely due to the team and potential power couple that have been dominating media headlines of late.

The cinnamon whisky brand divulged in its news release it chose to create a cinnamon-flavored lipstick that “tastes like a championship parade” and linked to a story about Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes living it up during the team’s Super Bowl victory parade.

In the news release with more secret references and easter eggs alluding to the couple than a song penned by Swift herself, the brand claimed wearing the lipstick would be a great way to be “supportive of a certain team… or a new relationship.” It continued to allude to Swift and Kelce’s relationship and claimed other teams kept losing in the face of “America’s favorite could-be couple.”

The lipstick is priced at $13.87 — presumably a nod to Swift’s favorite number and Kelce’s jersey number. Those interested in bringing a little bit of cinnamon heat to their lipstick game should pay attention to Fireball’s social channels, which will share when the lipstick drops.

“Fireball has a history of being the celebratory drink of choice for football players and fans alike, and we think this season’s epic mash-up of football and pop culture is worthy of a little extra heat,” Fireball Cinnamon Whisky Global Brand Director Danny Suich said in the news release. “There are a lot of new football fans in the stands these days who may be looking for a bold way to support their favorite team or tight end with a spicy RED new look, and, as always, Fireball is here to help. Because in our opinion, every touchdown should taste like a championship parade.”

The brand cheekily linked the word “championship parade” to an article from Barstool Sports about Travis Kelce catching a flying shot of Fireball and knocking it back during February’s Super Bowl Parade.

Whether or not the tight end and “Shake It Off” singer will be the power couple of 2023 remains to be seen, but it seems fans and whisky brands alike are pulling for them.
