‘TREASON’: Conservatives Outraged As Kid Rock Seen Drinking Bud Light 3 Months After Shooting it to Protest Dylan Mulvaney Collaboration

Mere months after firing an assault rifle at a stack of Bud Light Cans in protest of the beer brand’s choice to work with a transgender influencer, Kid Rock was seen out and about enjoying a beer from one of those controversy-filled blue cans, TMZ reported Friday
The country rocker filmed a viral video of himself firing his rifle at a stack of Bud Light cases in April. After the Bud Light Brand tapped transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney for a branded partnership, conservative outrage led bomb threats at several facilities and ultimately a brand boycott.
Rock was an outspoken driving force in the Bud Light boycotts among other conservative figureheads and stoked the flames of outrage on social media with viral videos and Twitter rants. The boycott appears to have harmed the brand; in June, Bud Light was dethroned as America’s most popular beer to Modelo.
At the end of July, Anheuser-Busch laid off nearly 400 employees — primarily in marketing and corporate roles — in the beer company’s major offices.
Yet, perhaps Rock has softened his stance on the brand.

The images have led to the country music star being mocked on social media. When Fox News published images of Rock drinking the boycotted beer on Friday, readers voiced their ire in the comments section.
“Kid Woke is a trust fund baby who grew up 40 miles north of Detroit in Bruce Township Michigan. The area itself is somewhat remote, yet firmly middle class,” a reader commented.
Others went on to call the musician a “big attention seeker.”
Conservative podcast host Tim Pool posted an image of the star with the brand on Twitter and captioned it “TREASON.”
Rock holds a long history of proudly aligning himself with the Republican party and was an early supporter of Ex-President Donald Trump.
The star has yet to comment on his choice to drink Bud Light.
A journalist named Alejandra Carabello claimed that Rock never really actively boycotted the brand.
“His restaurant in Nashville never stopped selling Bud Light. This is all performative theatre for these people to signal their cruelty to trans people,” Carabello said on Twitter.
Performative or not, America’s division over LGBTQ+ rights is an increasingly heated rift leading to deadly repercussions.
As Rock was being mocked on social media over “going woke,” a woman in Lake Arrowhead, California, was shot to death due to a dispute over a Pride flag. The shooting took place around 5 p.m. on Friday, according to ABC 7.
The woman, named Laura Ann Carleton, was shot to death for simply flying a pride flag outside her clothing store.
A suspect came and made insulting comments about the flag, then shot Carleton.
Although Carleton did not identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, “she spent her time helping and advocating for everyone,” according to ABC 7.
She is survived by her husband and nine children.
Mayor Gavin Newsom provided his stance on the issue on Twitter:
“This disgusting hate has no place in CA.”
