House Review
Nose:
Sweet and grain forward, plenty of pear, apple, honey and a faint touch of anise. There's some bitter, acidic notes on the nose which is interesting and not entirely expected. Faintly lactic.
Taste:
Thin on the palate. Sweet grain, honey, baked biscuits and a touch of fresh bread. A bit more ethanol than I'd expect here, as well as a faint touch of smoke and bitter grain on the back palate.
Finish:
Short finish, a touch hot, lightly bitter with a sour finish.
Overall:
There are many great Bushmills out there, but this isn't one of them. I'd recommend a different entry instead.
Score:
75
