There’s nothing patently offensive here, it just probably isn’t the best use of your $20. With so much other variety on the market in the blended and finished scotch selection, something like this just doesn’t stand out anymore.
It’s a mellow scotch, but one without complexity or subtlety. This only changes with the finish, which starts out positively cold, but ends with a little bite. I didn’t care for that, but it was at least different.
