Parker's Heritage Collection 20th Edition is a 14 year old Kentucky straight bourbon made by Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown. It uses Heaven Hill's traditional mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, and rye backset was used during fermentation. It is bottled at barrel proof, 118 proof or 59% ABV, is non-chill filtered and has a suggested retail price of $199.99.
The palate’s sweetness is immediate and, even given the foreshadowing of the nose, a little surprising. Golden syrup, touched with citrus, mixed florals, and vanilla custard are all dominant, with cinnamon-heavy spice building as the midpalate takes hold.
