Maker's Mark World Wood Collection: Expedition 01 is a Kentucky bourbon made at the Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto. Matured Maker's Mark is finished separately with American white oak, French oak and Japanese Mizunara oak staves, then blended. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 1 liter bottle and sells for $84.99 in select airport shops.
The palate is rich and viscous, with generous vanilla-caramel sweetness offset by flavors of roasted sesame seeds, fresh blackberry, dark cherry, apricot, baking spices, and toasted oak.
