Company Distilling Straight Tennessee Whiskey Finished with Apple Wood is a Tennessee whiskey from Company Distilling, founded by former Jack Daniel's master distiller Jeff Arnett. It is mellowed through maple charcoal using the Lincoln County Process, matured in charred white oak and finished with toasted apple wood. It is bottled at 43.25% ABV and sells for around $55.

  • The sip fills the mouth and reveals a healthy dose of baking spices: pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg. It is cloying to the palate. It evolves into charcoal with sweet sugar and dark chocolate or cocoa. Successive sips find the whiskey is watery, and the cloying is gone.
