It is lightly peated, distilled 2.5 times and matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks, with no chill filtration or added color. It is bottled at 57.1% ABV and has a UK list price of about 48 to 52 pounds, with US retail around $60.

  • Characteristic Springbank funk runs through the palate, accompanied by green, unripe fruit, peaches and pears. Milk chocolate emerges with light wood bitterness, whilst a creamy, slightly ashy mouthfeel develops.

  • Oily, as a Springbank should be, definitely on the hot side. It is definitely youthful and unruly. The taste also opens with some young whisky notes in the shape of pear drops and melon.
