Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey Sauternes Cask is an American single malt produced at Stranahan’s Distillery in Denver, Colorado, from 100% malted barley. The five-barrel blend consists of whiskey aged for four to seven years in new American oak before being finished in French oak Sauternes casks from Bordeaux, bringing the total maturation period to nine years. Bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV), it retails for around $140 and is available exclusively at the Stranahan’s Whiskey Lodge in Aspen and the Denver distillery.
