Mac-Talla PX is a limited-edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky released by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. It is matured in a combination of first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts and refill PX sherry hogsheads before being bottled at cask strength at 52.8% ABV. It is non-chill filtered with no added color, carries no age statement and retails for around £72 (approximately $90 USD).

- It's a combination that has become increasingly popular over the past decade, and for good reason. Pedro Ximenez casks bring an almost syrupy dried-fruit influence — think raisins, dates, dark treacle — that can either complement or overwhelm the distillate underneath.
