La Venenosa Raicilla Sierra del Tigre is a Mexican agave spirit produced by Maestro Tabernero Don Luis Contreras in La Manzanilla de la Paz, Jalisco, in the Sierra del Tigre highlands. Made from wild-foraged Agave inaequidens (locally known as Bruto), it is roasted in an earthen pit over wood embers, naturally fermented in underground wooden tubs and single-distilled in a traditional clay Filipino-style still. Production is limited to roughly 700 liters annually, with batches bottled at approximately 43% to 46.5% ABV. It typically retails for around $140.
