Coors Light Toasts Canada’s First WNBA Team With ‘Tall Girl’ Beer Can

Coors Light is doubling down on its Canadian basketball bona fides with a limited-edition beer that reimagines the iconic Tall Boy.

Less than a month after it was announced as the Official Beer of the Toronto Tempo, Coors Light has unveiled a limited-edition “Tall Girl” can paying homage to Canada’s first WNBA team. Much like a standard Tall Boy found at stadiums across the world, the can clocks in at around 6.2 inches and 473 milliliters. Unlike a standard Tall Boy, the collectible beer will only be available at Tempo games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum on July 5 and July 8.

No word yet on its official price — though if we know anything about game-day booze, it’s that it usually costs a pretty penny.

“The partnership represents a shared commitment to championing women’s sports and elevating the fan experience both inside the arena and across the country during this historic inaugural season,” Michelle Ramos, senior marketing director of global brands at Molson Coors Beverage Company, remarked in a news release.

The Toronto Tempo was founded and introduced to the WNBA in December 2024. Much like the NBA, which has 29 teams in the United States and one in Canada, the WNBA now has a lone outpost north of the border. Coors Light has been a partner of the Toronto Raptors for 31 years, and the brand now carries the distinction of representing both official teams in the country.

Coinciding with the Tall Girl, Molson Coors has announced that it will donate $10,000 to the Tempo Basketball Foundation, a philanthropic organization that empowers women and girls across Canada through local social impact programs.

“Bringing Coors Light on as the official beer of the Toronto Tempo is a testament to the growth and potential of the team and women’s professional basketball in Canada,” Toronto Tempo President Teresa Resch. “We love that Coors Light is celebrating this moment with us by raising a cold one to the talented athletes and the fans who support them with the limited-edition Tall Girl can.”
