John Parrott Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel Proof is made by SK Spirits from a blend of MGP and Whiskey Thief Distillery sourced bourbon. It has a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley and all barrels were between 6.5 and 7 years aged at time of blending. It is bottled at 54% ABV (108 proof) and has a suggested retail price of $185.50.

  • On the palate is a dance of cinnamon heat on a bed of frosted cornflakes, with a biting sweetness akin to raw honey. The finish is intriguing in that every sip presents a different closing (perhaps owing to the very strong and contrasting personalities coming out of the MGP and Whiskey Thief barrels).
