Released in May 2026, Little Book Chapter 10 “All the Wiser” is a limited-edition blended whiskey created by eighth-generation distiller Freddie Noe for the James B. Beam Distilling Co. Issued to mark the 10th chapter in the Little Book series, the blend combines 14-year-old Basil Hayden, 11-year-old Knob Creek, 10-year-old Booker’s, 9-year-old Knob Creek, 9-year-old Baker’s and 4-year-old Jim Beam whiskey finished in sherry and toasted bourbon casks.
Bottled at 61.3% ABV, or 122.6 proof, the whiskey carries a suggested retail price of $159.99. According to the producer, it opens with aromas of fig, raisin and molasses, followed by notes of caramel, cinnamon and oak on the palate and a finish marked by seasoned oak and raisin.

The nose is dark and brooding: leather, coffee grounds, cacao. Beneath that lies a slightly more playful, fruity profile of orange peel and rhubarb. As it sits and gets introduced to air, it transforms into a honey-brown sugar bomb, joined by a nice cherry pie note.
Excellent, thick viscosity on the palate. There’s a lot going on here in terms of flavor. The biggest notes are caramel, cola, cocoa powder, gingerbread and Cinnamon Toast Crunch — a really nice balance of sweet and spice, accented by white peach, lemon peel, clove, barrel char, dusty oak and a sprig of mint.
The finish is long. It opens with a mix of Demerara, strawberry candies, oak and orange peel. Spice follows, with clove, cinnamon and cracked pepper. Dark chocolate and espresso take over right at the end, joined by a nice almond note, leaving you with a dark, satisfying final impression.
A stupendous release from Beam. It’s truly intricate — blasting your palate with proof and viscosity but weaving together a tapestry of disparate flavors in perfect harmony. It’s at times sweet, at others dark and oaky. It’s significantly fruitier than a typical Booker’s or Little Book release, which makes me curious how much of that sherry/toasted finish is in here.
Ultimately, this is just really excellent bourbon and a true blending masterpiece from Beam
