Los Rijos Tequila Añejo is made by the Orendain family, who have been producing tequila in Jalisco, Mexico since 1926. Aged 24 months in oak barrels which creates full bodied tequila that has a peppery finish with aromas of vanilla, caramel, agave and a touch of chocolate. It's bottled at 40% ABV and typically sells in the $30-59 price range.
Aromas and flavors of five spice, cedar and leather, black tea, and pie crust with a syrupy, very sweet medium body and a medium-to-long finish with notes of cocoa nibs and cigar box, caramel, dried apples, matcha, brown sugar, and baking spices.
