Hendrick’s Gin Unveils Grand Cabaret: A Limited-Edition Release Paying Homage to Stone Fruit Spirits of 1900s Paris

On Friday, Hendrick’s Gin unveiled its latest limited edition, Grand Cabaret, as the fifth installment from Master Distiller Lesley Gracie’s Cabinet of Curiosities in the U.S. Inspired by the opulent allure of stone fruit-based spirits that once graced fashionable gatherings in early 1900s Paris, the new offering adds stone fruit and aromatic herbs to the classic cucumber and rose character of Hendrick’s Gin.
“There’s something to be enthralled by everywhere we look, and this time I was captivated by historical recipes for indulgent stone fruit spirits, eau de vies, peach schnapps, and cherry liqueurs that were in vogue in the 1900s,” said Gracie in a press release.
Gracie was especially intrigued by eau de vies, a type of unaged fruit brandy that was sometimes served with a splash of gin and perfumed with rose.
“I experimented with these flavors a bit and found that when you put them together, they produce a rich cabaret of notes that are both bright and light, ultimately serving as the inspiration behind this latest release,” Gracie added.
Hendrick’s Gin describes the tasting notes of Grand Cabaret as a “wildly indulgent, yet refreshing” blend of softly sweet stone fruit, juniper, aromatic herbs and its signature cucumber. According to the Scottish brand, the new gin is designed to “appeal to free-spirited souls seeking a wildly indulgent, yet refreshing spirit for glorious gatherings of all manner.”
“It’s fascinating to explore the history of cocktail culture and how it has evolved over time, but gathering over a great drink will never go out of style,” Hendrick’s National Ambassador Vance Henderson shared in the press release. “There’s no one better than Lesley to bring the peculiar Hendrick’s flair to stone fruit flavors that were all the rage at the turn of the 20th Century and formulate it for the modern imbiber.”
“GRAND CABARET is refreshing, it’s vibrant, and unapologetically bold – it can take on so many personalities when mixed into a cocktail. It’s divine in a simple gin & tonic, but also delivers on exuberance and dances on your tongue when paired with sparkling wine in the GRAND CABARET Spritz Royale.”
Grand Cabaret is housed in the brand’s iconic apothecary design, this time in a rich purple. The label showcases chandelier imagery as a tribute to the extravagant events that served as inspiration for the gin’s creation.
Joining the limited-edition launch is a recipe for a new cocktail featuring sparkling wine and fruit juice.
Hendrick’s GRAND CABARET Spritz Royale
- 1-1/2 Parts Hendrick’s GRAND CABARET
- 1-1/2 Parts cranberry juice
- ¾ Part lime juice

- Garnish: cucumber round and orange twist
Combine ingredients in a champagne glass over ice, and top with champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with a cucumber round and an orange twist.
Resting at 43.4% ABV, Grand Cabaret is priced at $39.99.
“Hendrick’s releases only one limited-edition expression from its Cabinet of Curiosities at a time, so indulge while you can,” the brand concluded.
The last release to grace Hendrick’s Cabinet of Curiosities was Flora Adora. Debuted in March 2023, the offering spotlighted the bounty of wildflowers Gracie planted at the distillery’s garden in Girvan, Scotland.
