The Singleton of Glen Ord 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced at Glen Ord Distillery by Diageo. Maturation takes place in American oak and European sherry oak casks. The whisky bottles at 40% ABV in a standard 70cl format, with average U.S. pricing around $165 for a 750ml equivalent.
Given the relatively restrained nose, the palate surprises with a bold sharpness that offers notes of fresh tangerine and peaches, before enduring notes of smoked meats, burnt caramel, and sultry Asian spices come to the fore, all notes largely driven by the recharred barrels.
