Meikle Toir The Sherry One is a peated Speyside single malt produced at GlenAllachie Distillery under master distiller Billy Walker. It uses mainland peat from St. Fergus with a phenolic level of 35 ppm and undergoes a 160-hour fermentation. Maturation begins in American oak bourbon barrels, followed by finishing in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry puncheons, with bottling at 48% ABV. U.S. pricing typically ranges from $60 to $80.

  • The palate starts out lush with dark berries and treacle but dries out a little on the midpalate with notes of char and walnut skins before settling into a warm balance on a generous finish of fig jam, silky milk chocolate, and candied orange peel.
