RYTHM Sativa Mandarin Orange Energizing THC Beverage

Released in September 2025, RYTHM Sativa marks a notable moment in the fast-growing market for hemp-derived THC beverages, bringing a well-known cannabis brand into a category that continues to blur the line between functional drinks and recreational products. Produced by RYTHM Beverages, the non-alcoholic line launched nationwide through licensed retailers, dispensaries and direct-to-consumer shipping, signaling a broad push to meet rising demand for alternatives to alcohol and traditional edibles.

RYTHM enters the beverage space with significant brand equity. The company is best known for its cannabis flower, where it has built a national reputation for consistency and large-scale production. With RYTHM Sativa, that experience is translated into a canned drink designed around a specific effect profile rather than strain nostalgia alone. The Sativa expression is positioned as uplifting and energizing, pairing hemp-derived THC with naturally sourced caffeine and a Mandarin Orange flavor. It is available in 5-milligram (plus 2.5 THCV), 10-milligram (plus 5 THCV) and 25-milligram (plus 12.5 THCV) THC options, allowing consumers to choose between a lighter functional lift or a more pronounced effect. The one we're tasting contains 5 milligrams.

The beverages were developed in collaboration with winemakers Charles Bieler and Joel Gott, an unusual move for the THC drink category, which has often leaned more on cannabis branding than beverage craftsmanship. Their involvement points to an emphasis on balance, drinkability and flavor clarity, rather than masking THC with excessive sweetness or artificial notes. At 60 calories per can and fully non-alcoholic, RYTHM Sativa is clearly aimed at daytime or social occasions where energy and focus matter more than sedation.

The launch also reflects a broader strategy from RYTHM to extend its lifestyle footprint beyond cannabis products alone. The brand has long tied itself to music culture through artist collaborations and live events, and the beverage rollout fits neatly into that narrative of portability and shared experiences. For consumers curious about THC drinks but wary of heavy doses or unpredictable effects, RYTHM Sativa positions itself as a controlled, fast-onset option that slots easily into an existing routine.

  • It falls apart on the finish a bit, with that aspartame note, but overall it's pleasant and refreshing.

  • Nose:

The nose leads with fresh citrus. Tangerine and lemon are joined by a kiss of tropical pineapple.

  • Taste:

Lightly carbonated with notes of orange peel and grapefruit.

  • Finish:

Mild finish. Leads with grapefruit peel that tails off, leaving a slightly bitter flavor behind that, interestingly, comes amid a finish that brings sweetest part of the sip yet, with an aspartame note.

  • Overall:

Really tasty and refreshing! I quite like this. It falls apart on the finish a bit, with that aspartame note, but overall it's pleasant and refreshing.

  • Score:
