Starlight Old Rickhouse Rye Whiskey is made at Starlight Distillery in Starlight, Indiana. It uses a mash bill comprised primarily of two distinct recipes: 80% rye and 20% malted barley, and 90% rye and 10% malted barley. The rye undergoes sweet mash fermentation and is aged in new American oak barrels for a minimum of 4 years, then bottled at 46% ABV. It retails for around $35.

  • The oak is a touch punchy, adding some astringency to a mid-palate that dries things out a little too early on the finish. A classic rye, solid for cocktailing.
