Salitos Tequila Gold is produced at the Agave Azul San Jose distillery in Tlajomulco De Zuñiga, Jalisco, Mexico. It is made from Blue Weber agave that is aged for eight years before being roasted in stone ovens and double distilled in traditional copper alembics. The gold color comes from barrel aging and caramel coloring, and it is bottled at 38% ABV with prices typically ranging from $13-$20.
Soft agave sweetness with a clean, floral nose leads into a light and smooth palate, finishing gently with no off notes and excellent balance for casual sipping
