Boozy Holiday Gift Guide: Guinness Cookies, Cocktail Kits, Maple Syrup Buzzballz and More

Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re anything like us, you’ve got more than a few last-minute gifts to get in order. But what to buy for liquor-loving friends and family? In 2025, a bottle of whiskey might feel a little passé. And we’re sure that our uncle already has a liter or two of tequila knocking around on the bar cart.

With the year drawing to a close, we’ve put together a roundup of six boozy gifts that think outside of the box. From worryingly expensive, Gordon Ramsay-backed cocktail shakers to Guinness-infused chocolate chip cookies, these are presents that are just as sure to stir up a drink as they are to stir up conversation.

Buzzballz “Elf” Maple Syrup Sundae

Buzzballz toasted this year’s festivities with a Maple Syrup Sundae flavor themed after the modern Christmas classic, “Elf.” Although the cocktail is nowhere near as timeless as Will Ferrell’s comedic chops, it makes for an excellent stocking stuffer and snowball-shaped oddity. So far as flavor, expect maple syrup, vodka and more maple syrup. It’s potently, almost overwhelmingly sweet stuff, diving headfirst into a maple sugarbomb that would make Buddy the Elf proud. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. But at just $3.99 per 200-milliliter ball, it’s at least worth the novelty value.

Guinness X Last Crumb Cookies

Guinness has embraced its resurgent popularity with younger drinkers, capitalizing on the TikTok buzz with Gen Z-inflected merch drops and one-off ice cream collaborations. The brand’s latest viral treat: A holiday cookie tin stuffed to the brim with all things short(bread) and stout. Released in collaboration with the Los Angeles-based Last Crumb, the kit contains three Guinness-infused cookies themed around flavors of dark chocolate, buttery toffee and raspberry cocoa, as well as a trio of Guinness-inspired cookies that pay homage to banana cream pie, peanut butter and birthday cake. A pair of Guinness glasses and a limited-edition tin round out the $120 bundle, perfect for beer lovers and aspiring bakers alike.

HexClad Cocktail Shaker

A Michelin-starred chef, a Grammy-nominated rapper and a headphones mogul walk into a bar. What do they find? A $99 cocktail shaker. The result of a wholly unexpected collaboration between Gordon Ramsay, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, this stainless steel testament to high-end mixology combines the former’s cookware brand with the latter’s recently launched gin venture. The shaker is outfitted with double-wall insulation, an ergonomic hex texture for grip control and discreet, easy-to-read measurement increments for hitting the perfect pour. It’s the kind of shaker that James Bond would use to make his signature martini, and it’s certainly priced for the part, too.

Aperol Spritz Set

The Aperol Spritz is as popular as ever in 2025. Though chilly weather isn’t an obvious fit for the Mediterranean cocktail, the brand’s holiday gift kit adds just enough accoutrements to justify the occasion. In addition to the basics (Aperol, prosecco, San Pellegrino and a couple of oranges for oversized garnishes), the bundle includes two glasses, an ornament and a pair of Aperol earmuffs bright enough to be spotted from space. It’s a maximalist celebration of an otherwise simple cocktail, and is well worth its $85 asking price if you’re hosting brunch around the holidays.

The Chinola Bundle contains three liqueurs perfect for a cocktail-sized tropical getaway. The brand’s Passion Fruit, Mango and Pineapple flavors smell and taste just like the real thing — that is to say, like fresh fruits plucked straight from the coast of the Dominican Republic. Amid a sea of cloying, Jolly Rancher-sweet liqueurs, Chinola’s lineup hits a tasteful stride that almost, just almost, resembles a boozy homemade smoothie in 750-milliliter form. Whether you’re enjoying a Pornstar Martini or a Mango Spritz, the Chinola Bundle costs $98.

It’s never too early to get your non-alcoholic gifts in order, especially with Dry January right around the corner. For sober-curious friends and family, we’d recommend Little Saints. The Miami-based company has debuted a trio of boozeless alternatives, including the gin-inspired St. Juniper, the smoky St. Ember and the whiskey-adjacent St. Oak (our personal favorite). Each is infused with functional ingredients like lion’s mane and reishi mushroom, adding a splash of mood-calming flavor perfect for cozy nights by the fire. The brand’s limited-edition holiday set, which includes a cocktail book with 44 no- and low-alcohol recipes, is available for purchase at $74.99.
