Leiper's Fork Bourbon Bottled‑in‑Bond is produced in Franklin, Tennessee, using a mash bill of 70% corn, 15% wheat and 15% toasted malted barley. It is pot distilled, aged five years in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at 50% ABV.
A well rounded and versatile Tennessee whiskey that isn’t reliant on being overly sweet. The variety of flavor and the depth of some of the savoury notes can really push your nose into diving deeper into this liquid. A rather tasty and genuine small batch product that we should all try at some point.
It’s crazy how a bourbon that looks so dark can be so misleading. Seriously, it has the hue of a 12+ year old bourbon, but then shows its true colors by smelling and tasting younger than it’s 5 years of age. It is unfortunate to say the least.
