Silk Velvet is a 6-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced by Western Kentucky Distilling Co. It is made from 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley and aged in #4 charred new white oak barrels. Each barrel is hand-selected by master distiller Jacob Call and the Hargis Family. Call, an 8th-generation distiller from one of Kentucky’s oldest bourbon families dating to 1791, has led the production of multiple award-winning bourbons. Silk Velvet was first created in 1880 by Colonel A.S. Winstead and has remained a part of Kentucky’s whiskey heritage. It is bottled at 45% ABV
