Hot on the heels of a national distribution deal, Betty Booze — the brainchild of actress and entrepreneur Blake Lively — is expanding with a duo of new flavors.

The reimagined lineup now includes Sparkling Tequila with Smoky Pineapple and Sparkling Bourbon with Oak Smoked Lemonade. First launched in 2023, Betty Booze is itself a spinoff of Betty Buzz, a non-alcoholic sparkling mixer brand Lively debuted a few years prior.

The transition from Buzz to Booze reflects larger trends within the celebrity-owned spirits industry. Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, famously sold Aviation American Gin to alcohol giant Diageo for $600 million back in 2020.

If celebrity-owned spirits were the first frontier, then celebrity-owned canned cocktails are currently the Wild West. Over the past year, pre-mixed cocktail brands made with tequila and vodka and been launched by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Canelo Alvarez, Dan Aykroyd and more. The category is expected to explode over the next decade — naturally, celebrities want a piece of the pie.

Angling for a larger share of the market, Lively’s Betty Booze has signed a distribution deal with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the nation’s largest alcohol distributor.

“We are thrilled to partner once again with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits nationally on Betty Booze. In 2023, Betty Booze was tested and instantly became a top-selling spirit RTD in the 200+ stores across the country in which it was tested,” said Andrew T. Chrisomalis, Co-Founder and Chairman of Betty B Holdings.
