Casamigos Tequila Unites With Cindy Crawford to Launch Jalapeño-Infused ‘Casamigas’ Bottling

Casamigos Tequila, the genre-defining celebrity-owned spirits brand, is switching out an “O” for an “A” with its latest release.

Over a decade after launching its first Blanco, the brand is collaborating with Cindy Crawford — wife of co-founder Rande Gerber — for the debut of a jalapeño-infused “Casamigas” bottling. An iconic supermodel throughout the 1980s and 90s known for her cover spots on Vogue, People, Cosmopolitan and more, Crawford has redesigned the Casamigos label with a faux hand-scribbled design featuring flames and a new signature.

According to Gerber and Crawford, the spicy release has been six years in the making.

“A few years ago, Rande and I were watching the sunset and we talked about how fun it would be for me to do a spicy tequila. Voila—Casamigas was born,” said Cindy Crawford in a press release.

“As much as I love Casamigos, my go-to drink for a fun night is a skinny, spicy Casamigos margarita. Casamigas Jalapeño makes it that much easier. It’s Casamigos with a kick!”

Casamigos was famously founded by Gerber and actor George Clooney in 2013, its name translating to “House of Friends” in English. Five years later, the brand was acquired by British spirits giant Diageo for a headline-grabbing $1 billion, inspiring an avalanche of celebrity-backed tequila brands that has persisted to this day.

Over the years, Casamigos has maintained a relatively slim catalog. In addition to its flagship Blanco, Reposado and Añejo, the brand released a mezcal in 2018 and a cristalino expression in 2023.

Available now at $49.99, Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila is the brand’s sixth-ever release.
