S72 ‘The Legend’ Gin, a spirits brand owned by motocross champion Stefan Everts, has recently updated its bottle design. Designed in collaboration with artist Troy Lee, the new bottle assumes the shape of the number one in a nod to Everts’ motocross legacy, where he clinched ten world titles and 101 Grand Prix victories.

“I am very satisfied with the end result,” said Everts, per a press release.

“This bottle really catches the eye. And I also like the link with my victories. In my career I always wanted to be the best. With my gin too.”

Beyond its new shape, the bottle offers various symbols and references to Everts’ motocross career. The laurel crown signifies his victories, while the number 72 crown is the iconic emblem of S72 Gin. Ten stars at the base represent his world titles, and a quote written on the side reflects his commitment. At the back, Everts’ profile with a golden crown celebrates his 10th world title. The back also showcases the gin’s botanicals and a tasting note from an international competition. The top features a replica of a former fuel cap, a nod to Everts’ motocross roots.

Joining the bottle redesign is an update to S72 Gin’s flavor. While the spirit’s staple violet base remains the same, alterations have been made, including the use of water from a different region and the substitution of potato alcohol with grain. Notably, Chinese tea has been removed from the recipe. Per S72 Gin, these changes collectively result in a more refined and evolved taste.
