WWE Legend Ric Flair Launches Tequila, Vodka, Gin and Bourbon

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is officially jumping from the wrestling ring to the alcohol industry. Perhaps unsurprisingly, his venture is shaping up to be just as over-the-top, ridiculous and gold-embellished as the legend himself.
According to a series of posts on the Flair Spirits Instagram page, the retired wrestler’s brand is expected to touch down at liquor stores and bars sometime in the coming months. No details yet on pricing or availability. However, the brand’s website shows that fans of the Nature Boy will be able to purchase a vodka, gin, tequila and bourbon alongside a limited-edition barrel-proof “Woooosky” (more on that later).
All are described as “the most stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing spirits in the world.”

Here’s what to expect from the collection:
Flair Vodka is a five-times distilled, corn-based spirit produced at an undisclosed American facility. Like several offerings in the brand’s catalog, the vodka is bottled at 81 proof — a possible nod to 1981, the year that Ric Flair won his first NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Flair Gin, presumably made from the same base as the brand’s vodka, is also distilled from corn and bottled at 81 proof. The spirit’s five botanicals include juniper, coriander, caraway, bitter almond and angelica root.
Flair Bourbon is an 8-year-old produced in Indiana by MGP, one of the most prolific whiskey distillers in the world. The bourbon is distilled from a mashbill of 75% corn, 23% rye and 2% malted barley, which is then aged in 30- and 53-gallon barrels before being bottled at 100 proof. Flair Spirits says that the spirit boasts flavors of vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, spices and tobacco.
Little is known about Flair Tequila, which is simply described as “Coming Soon!!!” on the brand’s website. According to a mock-up image, the spirit is distilled in Jalisco, Mexico, and will be bottled at 81 proof, much like Flair Spirits’ Vodka and Gin.

Last but not least is the brand’s limited-edition Wooooosky Signature Series. An on-the-nose mishmash of “Woooo!,” the wrestler’s iconic battling cry, and the word “whiskey,” the spirit is described as a barrel-proof bourbon distilled from a mashbill of 88% corn, 9% rye and 3% malted barley. Though the brand has yet to disclose an age statement or proof point for the spirit, the team has confirmed that it’s aged in Colorado. Unsurprisingly, the collector’s item has a flair for the extravagant. Contained inside the decanter is what appears to be a miniature glass sculpture of Ric Flair in his 1980s heyday, complete with aviator sunglasses and a suit jacket. No doubt that Wooooosky will be the most expensive offering of the bunch — particularly given that it’s topped with a giant golden cork rather than the plastic twist-off lid of the brand’s other bottles.
