Larsa Pippen Goes Boozy With $800,000 Investment in Olujo Tequila; Here’s What We Know About the Brand

“Real Housewives of Miami” star Larsa Pippen revealed an $800,000 investment in up-and-coming spirits brand Olujo Tequila on the latest episode of the hit Bravo TV show. A giant O-shaped bottle was brought out, drinks were had, and naturally, drama ensued.

But what of the tequila itself?

Pippen is the latest in a string of Real Housewives tossing their hats into the lucrative agave spirits market. Salt Lake City’s Lisa Barlow began the trend in 2007 with the launch of VIDA Tequila, followed soon after by Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Margarita in 2009. In years since, we’ve seen Beverly Hill’s Kathy Hilton invest in Casa del Sol and New York’s Erin Lichy found a mezcal brand alongside her husband.

Compared to these ventures, Olujo Tequila is shrouded in a veil of mystery. At least for now.

The brand — not yet for sale — has no social media presence or dedicated website. Apart from its recent appearance on Bravo, you’d be hard-pressed to find any imagery, backstory or reviews explaining the spirit save for a blurb describing Olujo as “an homage to the past with an eye on the future.”

Brand founders are listed as Larsa Pippen, Oliver Camilo and Adam Weitsman. A billionaire entrepreneur hailing from upstate New York, Weitsman made his fortune from a scrap metal processing company, a chain of restaurants, and recently,  a cryptocurrency mining operation. On Instagram, he’s frequently sighted alongside celebrities including Jack Harlow and Lil Durk.

Given Weitsman’s repertoire and the ornate, Clase Azul-inspired look of the bottle, Olujo Tequila will likely retail for a pretty penny when it finally hits liquor store shelves. Placed alongside offerings like Don Julio 1942 and Komos Tequila, Olujo’s design occupies the “club-friendly” side of the market, designed for flashy gatherings and luxury gifting.
