In anticipation of the climactic San Francisco 49ers v. Kansas City Chiefs game, Don Julio is dropping a radiant twist on its most iconic tequila silhouette.
Paying homage to Las Vegas — otherwise known as the Neon City — the Don Julio 1942 “Illumination” bottle sparks up with the push of a button, brightening a bite-sized Lombardi trophy inscribed on its front. The brand previously released a similar bottle ahead of New Year’s etched with the number “2024.”

1942’s tall-and-stout decanter is synonymous with a particular kind of sparkler-heavy, club-friendly atmosphere to begin with. Aged up to 32 months in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, the bottle is a consistent top-seller for Don Julio owner Diageo, the British spirits company behind Casamigos, Guinness and Captain Morgan among others.
The company frequently connects 1942 with limited-edition drops, famously including a $6,000 speaker system released during Miami Art Week in 2022. This time last year, Diageo united Don Julio and Johnnie Walker for a Super Bowl-inspired streetwear brand in collaboration with Siegelman Stable.
